Description: One of a small group of birds that appeared to me to be behaving in typical wagtail manner - short, fast flights near water. I assumed it was a Grey Wagtail (Motacilla Cinerea), but checking my RSPB Handbook, I see that males have yellow chests and black throats, females white throats & chests. This bird has a yellow chest and white throat. So - an immature male? or something else?

Description: A rather startling insect found by the side of a path. At first sight I assumed it was a beetle but now believe it to be a Red and Black Froghopper (Cercopis vulnerata). 7-8mm long. On Ribwort Plantain though I have no evidence to connect it with this host in particular.

Description: Well over a metre in height. Sorry, the picture of the leaves is not great, but they are very slim - the closest I can find is Hieracium umbellatum but I am not sure.
