Emerged Moth

Small green caterpillar. Found on flowerpot containing a bay tree. I have put in a pot with bay leaves but it has shown no interest in them.

I think Epiphyas postvittana is a likely solution to this one, they'll feed on almost any plant! See:

Can't be absolutely certin of the ID from the photo, but the only other species I can think of that you are likely to find on Bay are the tortrix moths Ditula angustiorana (which is an orange-ish colour) and Cacoecimorpha pronubana (which is darker green with a black head).

Could well be

We have an awful lot of Light Brown Apple Moths around here. Looking the photo of the caterpiller on uk moths and the photo of a curled up leaf this could well be it. I have kept it in a tub and it has disappeared into a rolled up leaf. Hopefully I find out in a few weeks.
