If nothing else, look at the tail shape. Whitethroat has a square-ended tail, whereas this bird shows the rounded tail of Reed Warbler, with long undertail coverts.
That's what I felt it was,
That's what I felt it was, but my RSPB collegue claimed it was a whitethroat, which put me in doubt.
