Lotus corniculatus-Fabaceae-common bird's-foot trefoil bud 1
I think this is the bud stage of Common bird'sfoot trefoil. I noticed lots of these red unopened flowers in cluster of 3 to 7 as indicated in my plant and flower idenfification books. It is interesting how they must change colour quickly as they flower. I didn't see anything in an inbetween stage but the stems and leaves looked the same as the flowering bird'sfoot trefoils.
