Meadow Brown

New to me - never seen Small Heath (or image of) with black spots along lower underside wing before? Can someone verify that this is indeed a natural occurrence or have I got the spp wrong (is it a sub spp?)

...thanks for ID (I'd ruled out Meadow Brown due to lack of spots). I guess lack of hairs and probably size (thought this was a big Small Heath) and would this be female - size of eyespot?

might be but I wouldn't like to say for sure since the hind wing spots are much larger than usual, the foreing spot may be also
