Lying on the path, mouth gaping open, possibly in process of shedding skin?
Location: Narroways Local Nature Reserve, Bristol

I did suspect that was the case. It is a well used path by dogwalkers etc.
The skin does look loose but
The skin does look loose but this is not normal behaviour for skin shedding as they usually hide away. It looks to me like it is injured, perhaps it has been trodden on and maybe on purpose.
