Thanks, Syrphus. I had wondered about that - I have the Tephritid book and, like Martin, had wondered about X. miliaria, but it didn't seem quite right. Your help is really appreciated.





Looks a bit like Xyphosia
Looks a bit like Xyphosia miliaria (see eg my posting www.ispot.org.uk/node/287668). I should at least put Tephritinae as an ID, and then see what the experts say...
