Snails on wall
The weather conditions were broadly the same as the previous day – [of my post “Snail on a wall”(15/08/2012)] – i.e. torrential rain before midday then clearing. Two snails on the wall this time (the third to follow). All the snails appear to be feeding. However, the surface of the wall is so arid, I am tempted to think that they were retrieving dissolved calcium from the wall for their shells.
