hybridus

This is a male, as the eyes are parallel atop the head, rather than diverging straight away, as in a female. It is then clearly hybridus, as there is no black line across the end of tergite 2.

Aha - thanks, that explains

Aha - thanks, that explains it. I was going on the diagram of male and female in the Stubbs/Falk which shows all males (implies of all spp) as having eyes touching. I was wondering! Will try and work my way through the genera while the weather lasts.
