Exurban roadside weed, with short revolute ligulate flowers as well as disc flowers. Exterior whorl of shorter phyllaries apparently absent. Plant not sticky, but apparently quite hairy.

When I saw that word at the start of your description, I thought perhaps you had been botanising on the outskirts of Beverley Hills.

Mow Cop? Similar...but maybe not quite so affluent.

Another jargonistic Americanism we could happily do without. ;)
