Notes: When I saw it in the field I thought that it might have been Senecio sylvaticus (heath groundsel) as the ligules differ from those typical of Senecio vulgaris var. hibernicus (ligulate groundsel), but it lacks the yellow green leaf colour typical of the former. The number of ligules seems to fall in the range of overlap of the two taxa, and in the absence of the outer whorl of phyllaries I can't use their properties to discriminate.
