The rain stopped and this small butterfly appeared in the garden flitting from plant to plant

A very variable species - some can be much darker than this one, only showing a small patch of orange on the forewing. Where this one was photographed there is the possibility of confusion with scotch argus, which has distinct orange patches on a darker background and more eye spots.
