Description: A number of these were lying along the shore having been washed up. Quite firm to touch. Flat area at base where it has presumably been attached to a rock.

Description: This clump of what appears to be sponge was found in a rockpool at Scarborough. It was not attached to anything, and presumably had become detached from deeper water. It was slightly smaller than fist size.
