Description: Male and female diving beetles. Someone I showed this to thought they were one of the rarer Dytiscus species, but I think they are D. marginalis

Description: Great Diving Beetle (male and female). Although the key diagnostic features cannot be seen I am reasonably sure that this is D. marginalis based upon the distribution maps on NBN.

Description: This beetle was caught in a moth-trap by Dave Wilton, and he's asked if we can confirm the species. It seems to key out as Dytiscus marginalis but we're not sure. Are the underside shots sufficient to confirm it?
