Description: Small fish, perhaps 5cm in length, gathering around a feed pipe into a small stream. the stream is fed from a fishing lake, the overflow from which which runs into the pipe.
The strem is shrouded by deep woodland; these pictures were taken with a flask, from as near as I could get without falling in.
It occured to me that these might be fry from the fishing lake, possible from restocking.

Description: This fish (one of several) appears to be displaying to other similar fishes in the vicinity (not in this image) . .
They were about a quarter of the length of an apparently mature grayling nearby - about 5-8cm long. there was a slightly larger salmon parr nearby as well. The white flashes were symmetrical on several of the fishes and were what originally caught my eye.
The River Itchen was very clear at this point. The weather was hazy sunshine.

Description: a very large shoal. Never moving from the bank of the river. Most fish were between 3 to 4 inches in length.
