Description: I was taking a photograph of light brown apothecia on a mature Silver Birch. Looking at an enlarged photo I became more interested in the ball like structures at the bottom. I have provisionally grouped them as 'Fungi and Lichen' but I am unsure what they are. Help please.

Description: Think this must be a Degelia but cannot match species. Do not think it is D. cyanoloma or D. plumbea as it is covered with isidia. Wondered whether it is D. ligulata or D. atlantica but although both do have isidia, Apothecia are rare so maybe not.
